What started as a glamorous night for legendary hip-hop producer Metro Boomin turned into chaos when a massive 95-foot yacht he had rented burst into flames outside the iconic Booby Trap on the River strip club in Miami.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. on January 20, 2025, just 30 minutes after the yacht docked near the club. Smoke was first noticed by staff members, who quickly alerted the crew and passengers. Metro Boomin, along with five crew members and several guests, was safely evacuated as the fire rapidly consumed the luxury vessel.
Firefighters from more than 30 Miami-Dade units battled the blaze, which proved difficult to control due to the yacht’s size and the amount of fuel onboard. The inferno ultimately caused the yacht to sink into the Miami River, leaving behind a charred wreckage.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported, but the dramatic scene captivated onlookers and left many wondering about the cause. Investigators are now working to determine what sparked the fire, with no immediate signs of foul play reported.
