A devastating multi-vehicle crash inside a Wyoming tunnel has left at least two people dead and five others critically injured, shutting down Interstate 80 in both directions. The fiery accident, which occurred early Friday morning, involved multiple semi-trucks and passenger vehicles, sparking an intense blaze that sent thick black smoke billowing from the tunnel.
The crash happened inside the westbound tube of the twin tunnels beneath Castle Rock, near Green River. The injured were transported to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County, where medical personnel remain on high alert. Officials urged residents to avoid the hospital unless in an emergency or visiting crash victims.
