Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall recently shared a humorous anecdote about her teenage years, revealing that she went on a date with Harry Styles when they were both contestants on “The X Factor” in 2010. Speaking on a podcast, Thirlwall explained how the two connected during their time on the show and briefly kept in touch before Styles unexpectedly stopped responding.

“We went on one date when we were 16, and I thought it went well,” Thirlwall said. “But as soon as One Direction got through to the live shows, he just stopped messaging me back!” Despite being “ghosted,” she expressed no hard feelings and attributed it to the awkwardness and unpredictability of teenage interactions.
Thirlwall recalled meeting Styles again a year later, during which he apologized for his behavior. “It was all very innocent,” she shared, adding that she found the incident funny in hindsight. “We were so young; it didn’t really matter.”
Both artists have since gone on to achieve incredible success. Styles, a global music icon and actor, and Thirlwall, a member of the chart-topping girl group Little Mix, continue to dominate their respective careers. Reflecting on Styles’ journey, Thirlwall had only kind words, describing him as “very talented, lovely, and charming.”
